ABOUT PACA

The Pan Asian Community Alliance is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in Tucson, AZ.
PACA membership based group depends on grants, donations, and fundraisers to offer neighborhood After School Tutoring programs, to provide interpreter & translation service to companies, schools, and organizations, to provide information and counseling to Asian Pacific people. The Pan Asian Community Alliance is an umbrella organization for all of the Asian & Pacific groups specialized in addressing the unique needs of the Pan Asian Community.

MISSION STATEMENT
The Pan Asian Community Alliance is a non-profit organization that promotes and develops education and community services of Asian and Pacific Islanders.


BRIEF HISTORY
The Pan Asian Community Alliance (PACA) was organized in May 1994 and incorporated in November 1994. PACA was formed to unite the various people of Asian / Pacific Islander origin in Pima County, Define leaders, skills, assets, needs, common goals, and empower them to build a healthy and productive community for themselves and future generations.

In April 1997, the Alliance purchased the Pan Asian Community Center at 940 S. Craycroft Rd. with funds from the City of Tucson Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 1996/97. The Pan Asian Community Alliance is a non-profit IRS 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization.

The Center now serves more than 100 people weekly (4500 service hours annually), Through their weekly attendance of classes and meetings of the special events. Volunteer hours total more than 1000 hours annually. The community has become increasingly aware of the existence of the Pan Asian Center, the need for services has increased, the funding for the programs is very limited.
